I learned to woodwork in a garage, in college, with a copy of Tage Frid Teaches Woodworking and a lot of time to make mistakes. Nobody taught me. I just kept at it until things fit together the way they were supposed to.

Since then I've worked professionally as a cabinet maker — long days, real deadlines, high standards. It taught me what I already suspected: the work either holds up or it doesn't, and there's no faking the difference.

I build custom hardwood furniture, cabinetry, and outdoor projects from fences to chicken coops. Everything is made to order, built to last, and designed around what you actually need. I don't take on more than I can do well.
